Manjushri

The Buddha of Wisdom holding aloft the flaming sword that both directly and instantly illuminates the darkness of ignorance and cuts through the root of suffering - self-grasping ignorance. In his left hand he holds the stem of a lotus flower that supports a text of the Perfection of Wisdom (prajnaparamita) Sutra - the Buddha’s teachings on the ultimate nature of reality.
