Namkha’i Gyalpo

Translated as “The King of Space”, Namkha’i Gyalpo is a 1000 armed form of Chenrezig, the Buddha of Compassion. This version is that described in the Rinjung Gyatsa cycle of empowerments. This painting was completed on the request of the late Lama Zopa Rinpoche as part of a set of eight thangkas for the prayer wheel house at Chenrezig Institute in Queensland, Australia.
