T'ötrengtsäl

T'ötrengtsäl (also spelt Totreng Tsal) whose name literally translates as ‘Powerful Garland of Skulls’ is a powerful and secret form of Padmasambhava who appeared in union with his consort Yeshe Tsogyal after villagers tried to destroy them by burning them. They appeared unharmed from the flames in this completely pure form and became a source of refuge, blessings and purification. By calling upon him in this form as T'ötrengtsäl, reciting his mantra and requesting help, it is said that Padmasambhava cannot resist but to act powerfully and swiftly to purify negativities and bestow blessings.
