Gyalwa Gyatso

A form of Chenrezig, the Buddha of Compassion, appearing in a semi-wrathful form embracing his consort Sangwa Yeshe Khandroma. This deity belongs to the Highest Yoga Tantra class of deities and is practiced in all the Tibetan Buddhist schools albeit with various forms according to individual lineages. This particular image comes from the Gelug tradition.
